Sometimes you don’t need to reinstall the whole garage door, the only one or two sections may need to be replaced. There may be various reasons for that: accidentally crushed one of the sections backing up on your car, or someone made a by chance damage, or you may want to improve your garage door energy efficiency, or you may want to improve the noise reduction. It is plenty of possible reasons. But to replace the garage door section we should know how it works first.
The garage door consists of garage door panels, that have been hinged together. Each section has its roller connected to the hinge. By pulling the bottom section, the garage door opener can slide all the sections simultaneously (do not forget, they are connected). It is extremely important to maintain the hinges and rollers, cause the crash of these elements is the most common cause of the garage door failure.
